eLocal Government (eLG)
eLocal Government (eLG) concept is developed under an initiative by the Ministry of Local Government and the Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), our eLG Solution has been engineered and developed to be freely deployed at all local authorities in Sri Lanka.
The solution has already been deployed in several municipal councils including Colombo and Negombo and ICTA is in the process of deploying the solution in 335 local governments in Sri Lanka. The solution supports generic requirements of the local governments with an aim of increasing efficiency and effectiveness in providing services, collection of taxes and other revenue.
Requirement We Identified
The concept of eLocal Government (eLG) was formulated by the Ministry of Local Government along with the Information & Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) and eLG Solution has been engineered and developed to be freely deployed at all Local Authorities (Municipal Councils, Urban Councils and Pradeshiya Sabhas) to meet their generic requirements, with an aim of increasing efficiency and effectiveness in providing services, collection of taxes and other revenue
Solution We Provided
The business model of the product is built around the concepts of process, category, group and activity which allows flexibility through the available configurations through dynamic fields. The system is also enriched with its Mobile Application enabling mobility for the users.
As achieving a great accomplishment in the journey of eLG Solution deployment, our team have successfully implemented the Online Construction Permit Platform which helps users to effectively process their individual and commercial construction permit approvals via the system within 14 days
Challenges We Met
CICRA team has dedicated their effort to make the product success as this solution work out throughout the country among 335 local governments along with municipal councils.
Technologies We Used
We used Middleware Integration as Redhat JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform and WSO2 middleware platform along with web frameworks as Struts 2.X, Spring MVC, AngularJS V2/V4, and Bootstrap. Correspondingly we used Java Platforms as Spring Framework (MVC, Boot, Core, Data, Batch & etc.) and EJB 3.X along with XML/Web Service as Apache Xerces, Xalan, Xpath, JDOM, Restlet, Spark, Spring REST, Apache Axis, JAXP, JAXB
